Luftwaffe

Shown here are the P08 Luger, Luftwaffe flak proficiency badge and other Luftwaffe uniform eagles.

The Luftwaffe had lugers manufactured by Krieghoff, with a distinctive H.K SUHL anchor logo. The one shown here is a 1939, Mauser S/42. The Luger’s shape and long-standing use in the German military has made it high recognizable and valued by collectors. The Walther P-38 replaced the Luger in 1938 as the standard German sidearm. See German Equipment for other German arms. The P-08 fired a 9mm round from an 8 shot clip.
