You will not read about these men in the pages
of history books. They came from the cities and towns all across America. Their
fathers and uncles served in World War I. They grew up during hard times of
the 1920s and 30s. At a time when the world was in a state of crisis
and liberty and freedom hung in the balance these young men, left their families,
friends and jobs to serve their country. Today they are our fathers, grandfathers,
uncles, and neighbors. They are the true WW-II Heroes.
This site is dedicated to all those who served. It tells the wartime story of
four of my relatives as I have discovered it. The information provided is a
compilation of historic material, personal accounts, and information obtained
from other sources.
